Mongol Gene versus Lake Baikal Gene
Is the Lake Baikal Gene found in European people that have deep ancestry in Asia? Or would that be the mongol Gene? I was surprised when I got the Lake Baikal Gene and a no 2 match to Indo Mongoloid Naga. Since my mom tested and didn’t get the gene it must be coming from my Dad that as far as I know...

Re: Rare Gene- ABCCll
I did hear about 23andme testing for that. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if they have sales anymore. I received the Amerind gene from my mother ( she took the Rare Genes test also) and the Lake Baikal gene is therefore coming from my father. I also have an Asian lll marker from my father, which ...

Rare Gene- ABCCll
I received the Lake Baikal Gene and was wondering if it indicates the mutation on the ABCC11 Gene that’s responsible for no body odor and dry earwax? I consider myself predominantly European but I rarely sweat and noticed after stopping wearing deodorant due to an allergic reaction that I don’t actu...

World Ancestry Map
I just happened to notice the map at the bottom of my rare genes test. Is that just a sample or is that my map? I was wondering because the matches aren’t the same as when I originally took the DNA Fingerprint test.

Antique Vase
I got this for a gift. I know it’s terra-cotta with silver on top. Would anyone know where this would be from? Egyptian? Greek? African?

Native American Florida Match
I was wondering why the Native American Florida match states "Source publication: Allele Frequencies for Fourteen STR Loci of the PowerPlex 1.1 and 2.1 Multiplex Systems and Penta D Locus In Caucasians, African-Americans, Hispanics, and Other Populations of the United States of America and Braz...

Enrolled Cherokees
I was wondering where the sample of the enrolled Cherokees came from. I thought that I had read they were from North Carolina? Would this be the Eastern band of Cherokee Indians? I matched with the admixed populations but not the enrolled.

Re: Native Americans in match list
I’m curious about this myself. I’m confused that I have a match to Native American Florida but no match to North American Native Americans.

Re: Lake Baikal Gene
I’m curious as to how many people on here found that they received the lake Baikal gene and if so what your known ethnicity is. This is coming from my dad’s side so I’m wondering if it’s deep Asian ancestry from mongol invasions of Europe. My dad has never tested so I don’t know if he has Native Ame...
