Family Mystery Solved regarding missing German ancestry
I know that my paternal grandfather's family emigrated from Germany but my DNA Fingerprint plus didn't show any German matches. Instead, I found Polish and Slavic, which are close enough geographically to be understood. I asked my brother to take the EURO test, and was expecting different results be...

Re: Don’t know how to read my test results...Help pls!
Ariana, unfortunately we are not able to give you any more definitive information than what you have. Your Native American matches were all in South America and you should be able to look them up on the internet. If another member of your family were to be tested, it's possible that more information...

Gerald, Native American- Michigan is closely associated with Cherokee but not necessarily a direct match to Cherokee. Here are two links that might help- http://theucn.com/michigan.html https://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/michigan-indian-tribes.htm Regarding your Chamorros Guam match, it is Pacif...

Thanks for your comment. Everyone who tests has the same n=62. The n refers to the sample each person is compared against and is the same for everyone.

Re: Melungeons, who were/are they?
I am wondering how this relates to the claim that Pensacola, FL is the site of the first European colony, settled in 1559 by Tristan de Luna.

Re: Mega Population Score and Ethnic Panel
The megapopulations are listed in order of strength but sometimes the variations are large and sometimes very small. Look at the chart on page 11 of your report and see how the blue lines compare. The megapopulations are a better indication of your ancestry than the markers, so give them more weight...

Re: Melungeons, who were/are they?
Very interesting summary! This is not quite on topic, but one of my favorite restaurants is (or was) in Florence, SC called the Redbone Grill. The name never meant anything to me but now I see there is local history attached to it!

Re: Mega Population Score and Ethnic Panel
The Mega population is a stronger indication of ancestry than the marker panel. You just missed getting the markers for Jewish ancestry- that doesn't mean you don't have any. A sibling might show the markers but you don't.
